do you, personally, have any idea how painstakingly tedious it is to import archives one by one, link by link, picture by picture, changing each date as you go along so it doesn't look like you wrote a billion and a half posts all on the same day?

hmm...I'm not sure. When it comes to the computer, I'm more of a geek-wanna-be.
Have you tried switching between the "Edit HTML" and "Compose" tabs when you're writing a post? Sometimes when I'm working on one, I'll switch to the other and see something that I need to change.
Oh, and when you preview it, does it look exactly like you type it or are there space issues there too?
